Green Energy Technologies Business Mission

28 October – 1 November 2018, Indonesia & Singapore

Green Energy Technologies Business Mission to Indonesia and Singapore

South East Asia is emerging as a key player in global energy. According to the International Energy Agency, South East Asia’s energy demands are predicted to grow by 80 per cent from 2015 to 2040.

By 2035, South East Asia’s total energy demand is forecast to increase by an amount equivalent to Japan's current energy needs, representing massive growth. As such, the region is increasingly looking into the potential of renewables to help meet their energy demands.

The eleventh business mission under the EU Business Avenues in South East Asia programme, Green Energy Technologies, will take selected European companies to Indonesia and Singapore from 28 October to 1 November 2018.

The first part of the business mission week will see the European companies traveling to Jakarta, Indonesia for a day of exhibition and business meetings with local companies. The companies will then travel to Singapore to participate in the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW), co-locating with Asia Clean Energy Summit (ACES) from 31 October to 1 November 2018.
